Thermometer at my door.

My kitchen sink with the same dishwashing liquid I bought 10 years ago.

Me looking for Entrecôte steak.

All my bread and pita I usually have in my freezer.

My life is full of extremes.
I hate summer and cannot stand the heat. The air conditioning in my apartment is always running at full power. At home, I rarely wear a shirt or
trousers, not even during winter.
At the same time, I try to save money wherever I can. I don't enjoy washing dishes and often leave them for two or three days before cleaning them. In fact, I'm still using the same bottle of dishwashing liquid I bought ten years ago.
What I do spend money on are the things I truly value. One of my passions is good
meat. I'd rather save money elsewhere and enjoy a high-quality entrecôte steak than waste it on things that don't matter to me.
Fortunately, I rarely need to spend money on bread or pita. My fridge is permanently stocked with
leftovers from bakeries that generously hand them out in the evening. So while I may spoil myself with a good steak, the bread comes free of charge.
Just like good food,
music is something I never stop investing in.
I keep adding records and CDs, even though four rows of boxes now block access to my balcony. I often complain that there is hardly any free floor space left and that moving around my apartment has become difficult. Yet I have no desire to change anything. Change has never been my strong suit.
I consider myself old-fashioned, perhaps even a gentleman from another era. I believe
ladies should come first. When I'm driving my
taxi, I still open the door for female passengers.
Sometimes I wish I had lived in the 1960s, a time when my traditional views and manners might have been more appreciated than they are today.
Even on social media, I follow my own principles. Whether it's
Facebook or
YouTube, I never click the "Like" button. My reasoning is simple: in real life, I don't like everything I see, so why should I pretend otherwise in the virtual world?
In general, I am a man of
few words and many
thoughts. I have always followed my
own path and formed my own opinions. Once I believe in something, it is difficult to change my mind, regardless of whether others are annoyed, confused, or even hurt by my behavior.
That doesn't make life easier, but it makes me who I am.
